My name is Shasta and Mommy is going to show you a lot of pictures of me she has taken. Some were taken without my permission, so please bare with me and humour Mommy, for she thinks they're cute. *sigh* Everybody knows that we are a very lovable breed and will do anything to make our Mommies and Daddies happy, so just for that reason, Mommy can put any picture of me up that she wants. I hope you enjoy my pictures.

I have to admit, Julian kept feeding himself and me candies the whole time Mommy was busy at the door. Some we ate paper and all. There were even more once Jonathan came back with all his stash.

One year later and Mommy is trying to get idea's what I should be.

She could make me into a princess

She ended up making me into an Arabian Princess, but something happened and we couldn't go out. 

It was disappointing, but there is always next year.

These are some pictures of me with my cousin Spanky. Spanky and I get really great exercise when we play. It's so much fun, but we don't hurt each other.

After all the fun, it's time to relax. Since I'm younger, Spanky gets tired quicker so Mommy encourages him to keep playing until we are both tired out. It might look like Spanky and I are fighting in the pictures, but we're not. It all good, clean fun.

I play a lot gentler with everybody else, and Lucy is my new little cousin. She like to nip my jowls, but that's okay. I don't mind one bit.

Mommy takes me everywhere and that's always fun. In the city there are leash laws, but because we came up to Auntie Linda's trailer through the week, Mommy barely put the leash on me most of the week.

Both these pictures on either side are promoting driving safety and reminding pups to make sure they buckle up too while riding in the car.

When I was young, I had the privilege to act and play like any other dog with the only difference that I helped Mommy, but that was ALWAYS fun for me.

I don't know why things change? I haven't changed. I'm still the same as I was before, but life here in Ontario isn't the same. I'm confused. Mommy isn't punishing me, but a man named Michael Bryant says dogs like me are dangerous weapons. Mommy says my most dangerous weapon is my winning personality and good manners, and the only thing I could do is maybe love too much.

It's all so confusing.!

But something happened and I'm not sure why? I wasn't bad. I never did any wrong.

I still not sure why this man hates me so much. But he thinks I'm bad.

I still pull groceries

And help Mommy

I can't play catch or chew on sticks

I try to understand why me? What IS it that I did?

This is all that makes sense to me is Mommy loves me unconditionally and says she'll make it right again.

I believe her! 

Try as they might, they couldn't stop Mommy from going after her dream for me. 

I'm Shasta - Service/PSD Dog and this has brought Mommy and I up to a whole new level of educating the public. A POSITIVE one!

One job I do is take out the garbage for Mommy

This is where my muscles come in handy as I pull.

I sit and stay while Mommy throws it all in the bins.

Now I'm done and bring back the empty wagon. I do the same with groceries and other shopping.

In the meantime, Mommy says life must move on as they fight for the freedom of mine and others like me, and the rights of humans too. So I know she knows what's best and we abide by the law and the bylaws no matter how outrageous they are. She follows the law, not because it's right, but because it's LAW.

She says that they are trying hard to change the law legally and to implement better alternatives and solutions to prevent dangerous situations that the government can't be bothered with.

I might only be a dog, but I'm a smart dog and one thing I know for sure is I'm not mean and neither are others like me that have mommies and daddies like me..

They are RESPONSIBLE dog owners.  Hey! Maybe if the went after the bad owners instead of us, they could solve the problem.

My 'Four Year Birthday Party' with Lucy

Pre-Halloween pictures 2006. I am NOT impressed with Mommy's choice  of costume this year. What was she thinking? To be a black cat with a white stripe is one thing, but to make me into the stinky kind...I may never get over the humiliation of it!

UPDATE: Remind me never to underestimate Mommy. I had the BEST TIME!!!
